Associate Civil Engineer – 2 to 5 years experience in the design of residential and
commercial land development projects. Candidates should have skills in performing
calculations and developing construction plans for streets, parking lots, water, sewer,
and storm drain infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • Thorough knowledge of basic engineering theories and principals
  • Strong verbal, written, and computer skills
  • EIT certificate and desire to obtain professional engineer license
  • Experience using AutoCad Land Development or Civil 3D
  • Experience evaluating engineering alternatives, preparing reports, and interacting
    with clients, contractors, and agencies
  • Desire to learn and grow knowledge base into other disciplines

The Associate Civil Engineer is expected to complete the following types of tasks under
the direct supervision of a registered engineer:

  • Prepare plans, designs, specifications, estimates, drawings, and engineering
    reports
  • Research engineering solutions and information needed to resolve technical
    issues
  • Develop and monitor project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinate and oversee project construction activities
  • Communicate with client, agencies, and contractors as required
